I'd call Insatiable Jilly Cooper for the Instagram generation, but that wouldn't do this book justice. Hilarious and tender, incisive and raw, Insatiable lays bare so many truths about love, loss, hunger, ambition and how it feels to be a young woman right now. I devoured it. Twice.
I devoured this book in a day - hissing furiously at anyone who dared interrupt - and now can't stop talking about it. Insatiable is an absolute triumph; so beautifully written and compelling, I couldn't put it down. Daisy brings characters to life like no other writer, pumping them full of humour, vulnerability and sexy sexy sex. I cried and laughed and did some other stuff I'm not going to tell you about. But I will tell you to buy several copies, because your first will probably fall apart from re-reads.
Insatiable is headed for big things and rightly so. Couple Daisy's writing prowess (and she's at her best here) with a story that's completely unique and has you gripped from page one and there are no limits on the audience this book can reach. Except maybe your nan. Don't give it to your nan.
